PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW NO. 6698 (“KVKK”)
SECURITY CAMERAS DISCLOSURE NOTICE
This disclosure notice has been prepared by Gümüş Arslan General Machinery Manufacturing Energy and Heating Systems Industry and Trade Limited Company (“Gümüş Arslan”), as the data controller, in accordance with Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Fulfilling the Disclosure Obligation.
Within our company’s factory premises, including indoor and outdoor areas, common spaces, building annexes, meeting rooms, waiting areas, work offices, parking lots, and other shared indoor and outdoor spaces, security cameras are used to ensure the security of movable and immovable property, physical premises, occupational health and safety for employees, performance monitoring, auditing, fulfillment of public services, and your safety. In line with the purposes specified in Articles 4, 5, and 6 of the Law, video recordings of relevant individuals, including employees, job applicants, interns, customers, suppliers, business partners, and visitors, are collected and processed.
Recording is conducted 24/7 via cameras, and the process is monitored by the IT department and authorized company units. Cameras record footage for a period of 15 days, after which the recordings are automatically deleted upon the expiration of the retention period.
The personal data processed through camera recordings is processed automatically based on the legal bases outlined in Article 5(2)(c) of the Law, “it is necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligations,” and Article 5(2)(f), “processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.”
The personal data processed via camera recordings may be transferred, for the purposes of fulfilling legal obligations in disputes, providing evidence, or complying with legal and public service requirements, to authorized company units, company partners/shareholders, representatives, judicial authorities, relevant law enforcement agencies, or authorized public institutions, in accordance with Article 8 of the Law.
Under Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, which governs the rights of the data subject, you may submit your requests in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Applications to the Data Controller.
